It is the first DVD in South Africa where potential home schooling parents can see how other home schooling parents is going about it. It emphasises on the existing challenges which potential home schooling parents are facing. Giving advice, help, insight and encouragement towards Home Schooling. Irrespective of which curriculum or approach you follow, the experience differs from one home schooling family to another. The biggest questions however are: "How do I home school?" " What do I need?" "Where do I begin?" "Should it be like school but at home?" "What about socialising, sport, culture and art?" The DVD consists of two discs which is bilingual with a duration of two hours each. Interviews are conducted with 20 different home schooling families. It is an adventure, learning about the journey of the different home schooling families. The DVD has been released during the Home Education and Resources EXPO, 16 August ’08, Berario Recreation Centre, Fairlands, Johannesburg. |
